In a game that's largely meaningless for both teams, we'll be tuning in because of Gio Bernard and... yeah, ok, basically just because of Gio.
As Tar Heel Blog notes, the last time UNC played in Charlottesville was a rather memorable night for Carolina's football program, as an embarrassing 23-0 shutout loss led directly to John Bunting's firing the following week and ushered in the beginning of the Butch Davis era. Here's hoping Carolina can come away with a slightly better feeling this time - especially with this being (most likely) the last time we'll see Gio Bernard wearing a Tar Heel uniform in prime time.
