-Brett Stretlow compiles the most notable bits fromCoach K's recent radio appearances, including the difference in reincorporating Ryan Kelly and Kyrie Irving, the impact of Maryland leaving the ACC, and his admiration for Dean Smith as a coach:

"There really isn't anybody who's been any better than (Smith) as a coach. He's in that elite group. There's not one best coach, but there's a small group of the exceptional ones, and he's there."

-Carolina football takes a very subtle dig at NC State with their newly-released 2013 schedule graphic.

-Tar Heel Monthly compiles the NCAA tourney projections as Carolina rises from an 11/12 to something like an 8/9 in most brackets this week. Duke remains a firm bet for a #1 seed somewhere, likely in the East, at least for now.

-Duke Hoop Blog looks at 5 interesting storylines heading into Duke-UVA tonight.

Beyond Tobacco Road:

-Maryland leaving no doubts about their NCAA tournament position (as in, they are headed to the NIT) with their performance in Atlanta last night.

-The N&O notices that besides even Duke, UNC and State, NC has a chance to flood the NCAA tournament.

-The New York Times on tough days for Mark Emmert and the NCAA as calls for him to resign grow louder.
