Kennedy Meeks Chooses UNC over Georgetown

#2 Center in the class gives North Carolina's 2013 class a big boost. (And when I say big, I mean both literally and figuratively - the kid is 6'9", 290.)

West Charlotte's Kennedy Meeks, the 2nd-ranked center in the Class of 2013, is taking his talents to Chapel Hill next year after picking the Tar Heels over Georgetown during ESPNU’s College Basketball Signing Day special.

After Meeks announced he would play for the Tar Heels, Dave Telep moved North Carolina's class from outside to the top 10 to No.5 in his rankings, which is currently the ACC's top-rated class.

From the brief interview above, seems like he is a relatively shy, soft-spoken kid, but between flashing the constant smile and his Big Baby-esque frame, I get the feeling he'll be an instant fan favorite once he arrives on campus.
